As a publisher of local and international content, Capital’s website boasts different sections for different tastes. We offer current affairs and real time news, business news, live stock updates, daily forex rates, local and international sports coverage which include football, athletics, cricket and more.

On the lighter side, we produce content on local entertainment news focusing on the positive stories of our local artists. Our contributors produce local content on relationships, health, technology and more. And on our radio platform, our presenters engage our listeners in forums, chats and blogs.

Audience
Capital’s online users vary in age from 18 – 65 years. Over 70% of our visitors browse the site multiple times daily due to real time updating of our content.

Why use Capital Digital Media?
Capital Digital Media provides a platform for our advertisers to tap into a growing market of savvy and affluent consumers. Thanks to the proliferation of broadband access, both on web and mobile, many more Kenyans are accessing the Internet for social, educational or business reasons.

Digital media is an effective media, especially if combined with a traditional media. Through online marketing techniques, our advertisers can now reach a targeted audience using less advertising money. Through our online platform, our advertisers can:

  1. Directly target Capital FM’s listenership - both offline and online (through our online streamer)
  2. Take advantage of Capital’s existing and growing website traffic.
  3. Easily integrate traditional media and digital campaigns for maximum efficiency.

Social Media
Social media has become an important medium that advertisers can no longer afford to ignore. The growth of social media in Kenya has been almost exponential, with rough estimates of growth of 150% year on year since 2007. Today, at least 500,000 Kenyans are on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites and blogs.

Capital FM’s presence on social media cannot be ignored. With several fan pages and groups on Facebook, we “socialize” with a network that spans over 50,000 direct fans, who in turn have networks of their own.

If you don’t have a Facebook page today then you are living in the dark ages! Even Chris Kirubi (Chairman of the Capital Group) can boast of 5,000 friends (the maximum limit) on his Facebook page!
